This is an incredible opportunity to journey along the Trans Mongolian train route between Beijing and Ulaanbaatar.
The sites are spectacular — roll out of Beijing in the morning and watch the hustle and bustle of Beijing as you depart from the main train station. The train continues across northern China, through the Great Wall and then to the border of China and Mongolia. Here, go through customs and immigration and watch as the undercarriage of the train is changed for the smaller gauge tracks in Mongolia. The train travels across the Gobi Desert, across the Asian Steppe arriving in Ulaanbaatar in the mid afternoon. Spend the night on the train in comfortable 2-berth sleepers with shared washroom facilities. Truly a remarkable beginning to your Mongolian adventure.
